When you purchase something for the first time, there are a few things you’ll need to know and the most important parts are explained next.

Customers from most EU member countries are able to order at our webshop, compliant with EU Regulation 2018/302.
This Regulation addresses unjustified geo-blocking and other forms of discrimination based on customers' nationality or place of residence/ establishment within the EU single market.
Shipping costs will be added automatically to your shopping basket, depending on your country/region. Shipping is handled by courier service providers DPD, DHL-Deutsche Post, or PostNL / TNT, and charges are based on their rates per region. These are listed in our International Shipping section.
All article prices on our webshop include the Dutch standard 21% VAT rate.
However, as of 1 July 2021 – following the EU-Council VAT E-commerce Directives 2017/2455 & 2019/1995 – customers from EU member states are charged with the standard VAT rate of their country. You’ll see the VAT amendment at the checkout. The VAT amount you pay to us, will be reported and paid by us to the Tax Authorities of your country.
For customers from the U.K.: the standard 20% VAT is calculated at the check-out and we report and pay the VAT you pay to us to HMRC.
If you have found an item that you like, you add it to your shopping basket or to your favourites if you want to keep browsing. You’ll be asked to register as a customer then, so you’ll get your own customer account and register some essential data. Then you decide where and how your order needs to be delivered, after which you can complete the ordering and payment process.
When you purchase something online, it can happen that items are not what you expected when they arrive. This is no problem at Outdoorbrands, as every order comes with a 14 days return and a money-back guarantee. Please read the Returns/ Exchanging section for conditions.
When you are visiting our online shop from abroad and wish to order, there are different payment options available: iDEAL (for the Netherlands), BanContact/MrCash (for Belgium), PayPal, Maestro, VisaCard, MasterCard, Sofort Banking/ Sofort Überweisung, Giropay or an (offline) Bank Transfer.
Except for the latter, these are all online payment methods, handled by our payment service provider CM Payments BV. When checking out, an encrypted-secured HTTPS connection is set up, enabling you to make the payment on their platform. CM Payments BV is governed by the Dutch Central Bank and meets the highest PCI demands that credit card companies like VisaCard or MasterCard set for payment institutions, regarding keeping, dealing and sending of payment card data. When you buy an article at our shop you have 14 days time to return it to us without having to state a reason. See Returns/ Exchanging After we receive the undamaged and unused article, you’ll receive the total sum of the invoice back. We will transfer this to you as soon as we can, but at least within 14 calendar days.
